I am a multidisciplinary artist whose primary task is to write. Putting words to 500-year-old books of anatomy, DJ Kool Herc’s Record Collection, to a Renaissance painting barely bigger than your phone, making connections between disparate realms—Paul Klee and Alfred Hitchcock, Madlib to Deleuze—is my interest, but writing about them is my passion.
Currently, I’m a PhD candidate at the CUNY Graduate Center, an adjunct professor at Baruch College, and a writer at Christie’s Auction House.
In my artistic life, my music practice is fundamental to dissecting the day-to-day, but many of my hours are also spent in ceramics, learning the intricacies of mud and heat.
